End of season message
Hi all,
Well done to everyone who played last weekend, and indeed to everyone who played during the year, it was a great end to our first season. Overall we did really well so big pats on the back all round. And we had fun at the same time. We had some close games and secured some excellent results, but most importantly we were a proper team that functioned well and got stronger as the season progressed.
Sadly, next season we will lose Andrew Ma and Ed Beny who are due to move up to the U16s. They have both been exemplary role models and have particulary been at the centre of a lot of fun and banter, which should be at the heart of every good cricket team. They will both be missed a lot but we send them off with thanks and wish them good luck in their new team. Cheers lads.
I hope everyone has enjoyed the season and that you will sign up again next year (and encourage any cricketing friends to come along too).
Practice sessions at the club are open to everyone. The U14s (and above) training session has now moved to WEDNESDAYs. Please feel free to come along, the first one is QWednesday 24/7, at 6.15pm-8.30pm.
Otherwise will look forward to seeing you at the Cricket Awards Dinner - more info to follow.
Enjoy the summer hols, bye for now: Hughie
Hugh Deans U15s manager
PS: The Pimms is going down a treat, thank you for that most unexpected surprise.

Match Reports
U15 at Gravesend 21/7
Scorecard
The U15s enjoyed a successful last game of the season with a win away at Gravesend. In the first over, Harry Deans bowled a fine maiden and in the second Callum Mcllenan took a brilliant flying catch off his own bowling to leave the opposition 0 for 1 after two overs. Good bowling and fielding saw Gravesend all out for 84, with Callum and Sam de Vaux both taking two wickets each.
The runs were knocked off with only two wickets down. Callum and Jacob Olerenshaw were the two not out and highest scoring batsmen. So well done to them and definite potential for even more success next season.

U15 v Old Wilsonians 2/6
Scorecard
The game started well for the U.15 team. Batting first openers Ed Berry and Andrew Ma put on an impressive opening partnership of 109. Poor Ed was stuck on 49 by his friend and batting partner, who kept on nicking the strike. Then sensing glory, he danced down the wicket only to hole out to mid-off. After such a good start the tide turned dramatically in the opposition's favour and only seven more runs were added.
When our boys took to the field wickets fell at regular intervals, with very good bowling from Callum Maclennan and William Black particularly. However one or two important catches went down and their target was overtaken with only a few balls to spare. Altogether an excellent team performance and our first victory is surely just around the corner. Well done boys.
